With the development of China, dry-type transformers account for about 15-20% in large and medium-sized cities on average, and about 50% in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities. However, due to the relatively small application of dry-type transformers in rural distribution networks in China, dry-type transformers account for 10-15% of the total application of transformers.

Although the market share of dry-type transformer in China is relatively low, the proportion of dry-type transformer in total transformer output will increase to a certain extent by virtue of its excellent application conditions and performance. It is expected that the market share of China's dry change will reach about 50% by 2020, which is comparable to that of the developed countries. Therefore, China's dry change market has a long way to go.

China's dry technology has reached the world's advanced level.

Prospective Industry Research Institute "2013-2017 China dry-type transformer industry market demand forecast and investment strategic planning analysis report" shows that dry change has four structures: epoxy resin pouring, filler pouring, wrapping, impregnated. At present, open-air H-class dry-type transformer is widely used in Europe and America. It is a new type of H-class dry-type transformer developed after absorbing the characteristics of wrapping structure and adopting Nomex paper on the basis of immersion type. Because of its high price, it has not been popularized in China.

At present, the largest capacity of dry-type distribution transformer through short-circuit test is 2500kVA, 10/0.4kV; the largest capacity of dry-type power transformer through short-circuit test is 1600kVA, 35/10kV.

The output of dry-type transformers in China is 18.607.19 million KVA, which is one of the largest dry-type transformers in the world. Dry-type transformers have been widely used in almost all electric power plants, factories, hospitals and so on. With the popularization and application of SCB 9 series with low noise (less than 2500kVA distribution transformer noise has been controlled within 50dB) and energy saving (no-load loss reduced by 25%), the performance index and manufacturing technology of dry-type transformer in China have reached the world advanced level.

Although the development of dry-type transformers in China is still a long way to go, under the guidance and development of policy and technology, dry-type transformers will certainly broaden the market and gradually have a place in the international market.
